Feast of the Immaculate Conception
Renewal of Vows
Each year on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, in a tradition dating back to the time of Saint Jeanne Jugan, the Little Sisters of the Poor renew our vows:
“In the presence of the Blessed Trinity and of Mary Immaculate, I renew with all my heart my profession of the evangelical counsels, and promise God to observe faithfully the vows of Chastity, Poverty, Obedience and Hospitality, which I made forever in the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Poor.”
We thank Father Joseph Paquette and Father Stuart McPhail, O.P. for celebrating Mass for us and our Residents and staff who joined for this special feast day.
